Denise
Denise is originally from western Massachusetts, and you can sometimes catch a hint of her east coast accent. She attended the University of Tulsa, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduating, she moved to Denver to begin her nursing career, and we eventually met at Wynkoop Brewery. Denise now works at an outpatient orthopedic surgery center. A passionate runner, Denise achieved her ultimate goal of qualifying for and running in the 2012 Boston Marathon. She also ran in the 2013 Boston Marathon and finished just six minutes before the first bomb explosion, only a few blocks away from the blast, making it a terrifying experience. After 26 under her belt, Denise retired from marathons. However, she continues to set new running goals and participates in various races and half marathons across the country.
Madison
Maddie grew up in the pool and enjoyed a successful competitive swimming career, particularly excelling in long-distance events. In 2019, she broke a 35-year-old Ankeny High School record in the 500-yard freestyle at the State Swim Meet. She went on to earn both an athletic and academic scholarship to the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated in 2025. She now works at the Science Center of Iowa, where she presents educational programs and shares her enthusiasm for science and learning with visitors.
Spencer
Spencer is currently attending Iowa State University, where he is majoring in mechanical engineering and actively involved in Kappa Sigma fraternity activities. He has been involved in a variety of activities throughout his life, including marching band, show choir, and golf. Spencer has a laid-back, easygoing personality and enjoys being around others, especially when he can be part of a group that is having fun.
