Denise
Denise is originally from western Massachusetts, and you can sometimes catch a hint of her east coast accent. She attended the University of Tulsa, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduating, she moved to Denver to begin her nursing career, and we eventually met at Wynkoop Brewery. Denise now works at an outpatient orthopedic surgery center. A passionate runner, Denise achieved her ultimate goal of qualifying for and running in the 2012 Boston Marathon. She also ran in the 2013 Boston Marathon and finished just six minutes before the first bomb explosion, only a few blocks away from the blast, making it a terrifying experience. With 26 under her belt, Denise has retired from marathons. However, she continues to set new running goals and participates in various races and half marathons across the country.
Madison
Maddie is passionate about swimming, particularly excelling in long-distance events. She broke a 35-year old Ankeny High School record in the 500-freestyle at the 2019 State Swim Meet. She now swims for the Division 1 University of Northern Iowa, where she earned both an athletic and academic scholarship.
Spencer
Spencer is active in many activities including marching band, choir, show choir, and golf. He has a relaxed personality and loves being part of group that’s having fun. He’s always quick to smile and his laugh is contagious.
